Named after our founder, the hostel supports marginalised and socially disadvantaged women from rural and remote areas who migrate to Bengaluru in search of employment. Located behind our office, it offers secure lodging and nutritious meals at affordable rates.
With nine rooms and two dormitories, it accommodates up to 33 women. Admission requires an employment letter and salary certificate. Subsidised prices are also extended to Balasevika trainees and college students.
Transit hostel for women who come through the Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD), from remote districts of the state to attend government and competitive exams for 2-3 days. Food and accommodation is provided, payment is done by the DWCD.
A close-knit community
Managed by a warden with ancillary staff, the hostel runs smoothly day to day. National and religious festivals are celebrated with joy, and special meals mark these occasions — fostering a genuine sense of community. For its residents, it is not just a place to stay, but a home away from home.
