Annual Painting Competition

A splash of colour across the city — where every child, of every ability, gets a brush and a blank page.

A KSCCW tradition

Over a thousand young artists, every year.

Held across multiple zones in Bengaluru, the Annual Painting Competition welcomes children — including children with disabilities — to express themselves in colour. In 2024, around 1,200 children took part across six zones: Jayamahal, R.T. Nagar, Krishnanagar, Indiranagar, Malleshwaram and Chamrajpet.

Entries are judged by an esteemed panel from the field of art. Winning works are then submitted to the Indian Council for Child Welfare, New Delhi, for national-level judging.

More than a prize

National-level winners receive cash awards. And for winners from families earning less than ₹5,000 a month, the competition opens a further door — scholarships from ICCW that support their education right up to the completion of 12th standard.
